    It appears the case was actually about passing off and copyright. Not sure how it could be passing off as ENG8 have no product or sales track record for Biaco to leverage against and they are offering different technologies now. Also that’s next to impossible to win one of those cases anyway. I can’t comment on the copyright, but the weight of evidence required to win one of those is very high. You basically need a confession.


    Seems like a very expensive waste of time to me. They would have been better off focusing on fund raising.


    I have before seen large businesses with deep pockets use the High Court to leverage other businesses. But that’s expensive and very risky. I am sure ENG8 wouldn’t have been foolish enough to do that.

    This was allegedly triggered by a dispute between principals, some of whom decamped and formed Biaco. That at least is what I was told.

    Biaco was a company established on behalf of the founders of ENG8 in early 2020 to be the national operating company in the UK for commercialising the water-cooled EnergiCell technology in the UK.     So you got that information from the convicted (plead guilty to wire fraud), disbarred as a Director, founder of ENG8 Haslen Back? Pretty sure after speaking to Biaco your version is upside down. Just looking at the personalities involved, I can see very easily who has credibility and who doesn't.

    I am not laying blame for the dispute anywhere, not now and not in the post above you refer to because I have no idea who started it or why. But having workied in the disruptive tech space for many years I am very aware that sometimes (in fact far too often) people do weird things for perceived personal advantage. What I don't know is to whose benefit this split was. I wanted to visit Biaco, but they refused me on the grounds that I have visited ENG8's Aviero lab so must be biased. Actually I'm not, but I have never heard what they have had to say so for now I have only ENG8's account (which was very brief) to go on.

    This case makes me wince...

    When I think back about the trial of the century, that was the Doral's case, probably the second most important trial just after the jesus christ crucifixtion and even before the Nuremberg's one ahaha... How many glassy-eyed specialists spread all their snot as insignificant people using this opportunity to make themselves look important...

    Anyway... this kind of dispute must be very common, I'd even like to know the statistics but that should be high...

    Looking on the bright side, they both feel there is something worth fighting over. :) If the tech is real, then we can expect more legal battles to come.

    There isn't a fight, the case was struck out.


    Biaco have been very clear that they are not anything to do with LENR whatsoever. That is probably why they don't offer visits to those who are devoted to the cause of LENR.
