It is speculated that whilst Inconel is used to provide the current to the resistor wires, it is likely that the resistor wires are tungsten. The reason is the melting point of Inconel is in the range of 1390 - 1425 degrees C - this is not compatible with reported reactor temperatures, so it is likely that tungsten is used for the resistive heating as this can reach 3400 degrees C comfortably. Configuring as a pulse induction heater may give more flexibility.

Inconel is a good choice for supply wires as it is very resistant to oxidation at high temperatures and retains its strength. Likely the large blocks at the end are to lower the connection point temperature to comfortable operating range for the inconel interconnection.

Powder mix is placed into reactor, sealed and the whole unit vigorously shaken to distribute it on internal surface.

The Fe2O3 which is stable in the reaction temperature range is to catalytically disassociate the H2 evolved from the LiAlH4, this mono atomic hydrogen on re-combination (as per Langmuir) allows for very much higher local temperatures than bulk. The Li is taken into vapour phase, some Rydberg H should then be created from chopped power waveform RF noise which at 40A + at that diameter coil should create a significant magnetic pulse which might "pinch effect" the reactants to trigger the reaction. The "loosely" bound Neutron in Li7 looks to be transported into/captured by the nickel isotopes. Refer to page 42.

The reaction occurs below the bulk melting point of nickel - this is important, in a reaction vessel that is stable at these and localised higher temperatures (Al2O3).

As events occur - some nickel isotopes are vaporised increasing the efficiency of the reaction as nano particles are created in-situ - any Nickel 62 atoms do not take part further in the reaction and so cool to bulk reactor temperature causing them to condense out resulting in near pure crystals of Ni62 as observed in the paper.

The proposed reason that the reaction could self-sustain is that the localised events in the core are sufficient to keep it going - but condensation from the outside in slowly removes reactants from active role.

Alternatively, there may be fusion/fission to stable lighter elements causing the isotopic changes and evidence from other researchers have led us to pursue isotopic analysis of all our previous experimental ash.

one key problem with reactors is stabilizing them. for nuclear reactor we were lucky because there is a natural therman feed back and delayed neutron production that makes the feed back stable.
