It seems my effort to get the subject back on track failed. No discussion on the news I listed from JoNP.
It's almost as if nobody believes it is going to happen is it not?

A SEM study of the Kanthal A1 wire should be done. This study will show that the elements that comprise the Kanthal A1 wire have not been effected by the LENR reaction.
Which will prove exactly nothing.
Because there wasn't formal calorimetry of the first two reported LION tests, I have taken that on as the focus of my replication. Full calibration will start next week, as soon as some more sheathed thermocouples arrive.
Time permitting, I'll try to stream the calibration data live, using the Plotly screen we set up for GS5.4 (Link TBD)
It's been two weeks. When are we going to see news of the replication attempts?
In the end: what is the purpose of all these nice ideas, drawings and pictures....?
I think "nice" is a VERY strong word in this context.

Shoulda coulda woulda. I'm not convinced. I'll keep my hopes pinned on LION for now.
I'm going to have to concede and put my vote in for "S-Cat". He might even go for it if you say the "S" stands for"Super".
In the interest of fairness....Rossi has said that the new reactor won't delay the current industrialisation of the existing one.
So the rollout date of his reactors will remain unchanged from "never".
Forty-Two let's help with names for the new reactor: e-ternal, i-nnuendo, pereni-x
The Rossi BS
If I block somebody does that mean I don't see new posts by them?
Yes.
So here's a question... Probably best directed at Alan - If the LION reactor is real. What would be the hurdles involved in using a Model T reactor as the heating component in a Stirling engine to generate electricity?
Display More9 W x 400 cells = 3.6 KW
1 KW for compressor
2.6 KW free
plus heat and cold
You should build your own house based on this. And sell energy back to the power company. Now. Don't even wait. Quick. You're wasting your time here (and everybody else's).
You can't fault that math HG! lmao
Sometimes telling people how to behave is apt if they are rude or libelous.
Better than censoring them as you did by banning me last month, without warning and with no explanation that I could find.
I wonder if it was my final comment that stated the last page was such rubbish that I was leaving the thread. Making the ban rather redundant.
And yet you're still here.
Is it me or is there a lot of impatience and speculation at this point?
It seems plain as day to me that the first order of business is independent replication. Some people here have problems understanding what replication means. Myself - I was concerned that Alan deviated as far as not using the aluminium mess tin to cook the diamond pads.
Once replication is done THEN we can think about methods of improvement etc.
As excited as I am I can wait the amount of time that prepping this experiment will take.
I'd call it being obnoxious and useless. This is an LENR forum - try to contribute something practical that could help replicators (thoughts, advice, links, ideas, papers, etc) or at least don't disrupt the forum with child like behavior. If you are at a business meeting discussing ideas to minimize shrink in your business, don't bring up non-sense such as your bosses new car or the new Taco stand outside.
You mean like bringing up UFOs?
I know I came into this with knowledge of what Pons and Fleischman did and how the scientific community treated them and was hoping for it all to be real. It didn't take terribly long to see Rossi had nothing but I kept hoping. These days anybody who uses his examples for LENR and tries to replicate him is going to head down a very frustrating rabbit hole.
To whom or what do you attribute this problem? And how many years has it been since Rossi claimed to obtain high power thermal energy from his reaction?
..with no independent verification
This is all a red herring to make people think this tech requires custom materials so they cannot build it on their own.
I'm impressed by your enthusiasm but I'm appalled at how credulous you are.
