Or tell someone how it is built privately who can replicate and take it to a local university and utilize their lab equipment.

Re: High cost
Craftsmanship is not cheap. Welding stainless nicely requires time, skill, and careful manual fixturing. It's also not mass production. Cutting and drilling stainless eats up expensive bits and blades like crazy.

Well, both the electrical/mechanical excitation and the insulator material. There have been a few mentions of zirconium too. Axil talked about it here, that perhaps rossi used mica in this insulating capacity:

me356 already gave us a video of what seems to be a reaction with excess heat starting, complete with the little "jump", which we've sussed out is hitting the reactor or table with a hammer.

@me356 is probably talking about his mystery injection of (oscillating?) RF or magnetic field or high voltage combined with some specific pressure inside of the reactor.

The steel layers can be charged with DC voltage to set up a uniform electrical field. This could cause susceptible bits to align to the field. It could capture charged particles avoiding safety issues. It could be a way to generate an electric current as output.
The patent indicates that all of the steel is welded together on the edges. How would you get a useful potential difference?

For inputted RF energy, do we have any idea of the frequency or power or radiating method that have been shared?
High voltage DC has also been discussed as an excitation source.

It was before lookingforheat store was set up!
Still have to order the other correct powders. I do have some carbonyl process nickel-iron powder, but not pure nickel. -
I ordered some from Ebay, "Consolidated Chemical". It wasn't too expensive. Sigma-Aldrich wanted 100s of $ for shipping.
It seem they have a website: http://www.consolidated-chemical.com also.
