Forty-Two just earned himself a 2 week holiday.
For those of us keen to obey the rules of the road, would you care to explain how he earned that holiday?

I said that Rossi had showed enough
to me to extend April 1 2019 to the
end of 2019 and reavaluate.
An honest answer. This thing is, Rossi showed absolutely nothing and that indeed was enough for you.
The old ECN had a Rossi stalwart named Daniel Maris who threatened to bail on the Italian conman roughly every six months for years if one milestone or another was not met. He never did make good on his threat but did eventually disappear... or perhaps he lives on with a new name.
If sam12, we_cat_global, and the rest of Rossi's loyal followers are happier believing in their fairy tale, more power to them. Based on everything that has happened to date, it doesn't appear that any developments could actually disappoint them. So as long as they don't do anything truly foolish like sending money to Rossi, good for them if the charade pleases them.
My belief that he has the technology
he says he has will decrease if no
legitimate customer comes forward.
Will you have any belief if a legitimate customer comes forward?
Belief is altogether the wrong word when it comes to technology. Facts and data are what matters and if they support a conclusion, then that is the conclusion to draw. So if a legitimate customer (and I think it is pretty clear what that means) comes forward to reveal that their e-cat works and provides convincing evidence for that claim, it would change my assessment of Rossi’s supposed technology.
Your “belief” in Rossi is not based on facts and data given that the overwhelming majority of available information positively screams fraud but you choose to ignore all of it and cling to little snippets that have a positive spin. That is your prerogative, but realize it is simply a belief, like that for Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy.
Seems to long for me but it least
is a date that will end it for me
if there is no legitimate customer
by then.
i am no psychic but I predict with great confidence that come January, when no customer comes out of the closet, your belief in Rossi will not change in any way.
Sam, I have no idea if you are playing games with us or are just astoundingly credulous, but you do deserve credit for being consistently good-natured.
It’s been a while and Rossi is not getting enough attention. It must be time for an incredible new version of the e-cat that amazingly has nothing whatsoever in common with the previous five versions.
Sarcasm? Perhaps. Or maybe just trying to think like a Rossi supporter.
“So, are there ANY names, You can provide, which REALLY still work with this scammer ?”
That goes for customers as well. Of course, why would any company want it known that they are making use of a world-changing, environmentally safe energy technology? One thing companies avoid like the plague is positive news. Such news would be devastating to their bottom line.
The Rossi skeptics will never go away.If it was proven that Rossi
has the technology he says he has
some of the skeptics will not
believe.
That is one theory that will never be tested.
I think Rossi's loyal followers will never entirely go away. They'll probably become an organization like the Flat Earth Society. And don't mock the Flat Earth Society. They have members all around the globe.
There is little point in arguing with the remaining Rossi believers. Clearly they are not individuals whose opinions are shaped by facts or evidence. Given that, they are likely to remain in the fold forever since there is really nothing that could disappoint them going forward. Why would I say that? Some of them are still in the thrall of the conman after 7 years of unmitigated nonsense and are content to “wait and see”. Best of luck to them.
LENR advocates are always bemoaning the mistreatment of the field by mainstream scientists. Respect for the field is not helped in the least by the fact that some of its most passionate supporters are equally passionate about a wide range of pseudoscience and even completely crackpot ideas. Guilt by association may be unfair or unwarranted but it is a powerful force nonetheless.
Moved as pretty irellevant to its location. Alan
I’m referring in specific to a Nobel Laureate’s (Philip Anderson) quote aimed at Mills work full of several instances of the F word.
Well, there are two kinds of Nobel Laureates: the good ones who say the stuff you want to hear (Brian Josephson and Julian Schwinger) and the bad ones that don’t (pretty much the rest of the lot.)
LC’s question brings to mind the famous statement in the philosophical literature “the present king of France is bald” which is used to discuss the Law of the Excluded Middle. Is the statement true or false given that there is no present king of France? Kind of like the firms producing heat from the Ecat.
Although a minor achievement... When compared to your 659 posts discussing the relevance of 'Rossi's blog comments'.
Good job counting.
Let me rephrase. Saying this can be distinguished "from a scientific experiment" and it is a mere anecdote is a puerile dismissal. An anecdote is not an event witnessed, measured, graphed and described in detail by two professional scientists. Heat after death is a replicated phonomenon. You have no basis to dismiss it, and no reason to doubt Mizuno's account.
I have neither dismissed it or expressed doubt about Mizuno's account. I did not say "mere anecdote". All of these things are your predictable triggered response and projection upon anything remotely unenthusiastic about matters LENR.
And thus ends my little test of the hypersensitivity of "the LENR community". Results as predicted.
“Your objection is puerile.”
What objection? Your kneejerk attack is utterly predictable, however.
It was not an anecdote. It was a carefully observed, well documented example of heat after death. Heat after death was later observed hundreds of times. With so many replications, there is no doubt this event was real. The method of measuring this enthalpy is crude but extremely reliable and convincing.
Calling it an anecdote is not questioning whether it was a real event. It is distinguishing it from a scientific experiment. If you prefer, I will say that there have been 400+ posts about an observed event. And, no doubt, there will be many more as the interested parties continue to dissect it.
