No worries about radiation inspectors and the like. The customer identity is a secret, the facility is a secret, and the customer is completely willing to risk major fines, lawsuits and probable loss of all their licenses by operating a secret power plant in order to save 20% on their heating bills. Adrian will tell you that this all seems completely reasonable and anyone who thinks otherwise is a babbling idiot.

“How then does he go from warning of his Ecat's dangers, to having one up and running, and producing heat in a customers factory...without any record of it being certified? Got me. Something does not add up. Guess we will have to wait it out to see how the story unfolds, to get all the answers.”
You really expect to get all the answers? The video show will depict gadgetry running at a secret location that is allegedly the site of a secret customer. The show will provide no meaningful information. Anyone with any sense will shrug and wait for the next silly episode. The remaining delusional followers will cheer and celebrate the non-event for a little while. And the story will have unfolded no further since it is essentially an endless loop.

If one makes the rather safe assumption that the SK doesn’t actually do anything of value, it becomes far easier to replicate...

I have made it 67 years with some luck and help from Christ.
Psalm 120:2 - Save me, LORD, from lying lips and from deceitful tongues.
-
At this present time I would invest
in Rossi ECat SK if I could.
I wish you lots of luck in making your way through life. Clearly you will need it

If you want to believe something badly enough, you will.

“If not, and it is eventually found out he is a total fraud and had nothing, it will be something future historians will have to figure out.”
The Rossi saga is virtually invisible to the world at large. The total number of people who give a crap about any of it is miniscule. When Rossi finally disappears from the scene, rest assured that no future historian will bother to spend any time on this petty and embarassing little business. There have been and will be innumerable scams of greater magnitude and more intrigue. So revel in this one while it lasts.
-
I agree that the story is captivating. But I don’t actually think Rossi himself is that interesting. His scam is increasingly clumsy and preposterous. He isn’t even trying hard to be convincing. What is amazing is that people still believe him. That is astonishing .
-
Shane, if Rossi had not opted to hitch his scam to LENR but instead had said it was some entirely new phenomenon that he stumbled upon, would those little voices still be calling you? I’ve thought all along that the cleverest thing ever Rossi did was claim his sham was LENR-related, which immediately created a whole group of people strongly predisposed to believe whatever he says. Even though each new e-cat less and less resembles any other LENR system in existence, the “community” still assumes Rossi is developing LENR technology. Of course, the main result of all this has been to greatly damage the already precarious reputation of LENR.

“Hopefully soon, we shall see if there is anything to this other than a con man at work.”
Why would you think that? After 8 years of the same bullshit, what is going to change? His latest show will be as meaningless as all the previous ones and his fan club will dutifully wait for the next one. And even people like you will agree that he showed nothing but still hold out hope that the next time will be different. Like I said: just shaking my head.
-
What really makes me shake my head is how many of you still hold out hope that Rossi has actually invented something of value.
-
“(Sam) and AA will wake up in April 2019, when we still have no name, no location of the customer running a 40 MW Ecat SK plant, nor any other independent 3rd party confirmation on clear power in and out.“
And it will not have the slightest effect on their faith in Rossi.

That's nothing. I am designing and plan to patent an airliner which will be pulled by flying pigs.
Wait a while and people here will explain how spheromaks allow pigs to fly.

That does not make it any less entertaining to anticipate how he is going to try and pull it off. He knows, that we and interested customers know, he has been caught red handed before, and will have his work cut out for him to convince. Granted, it will take more than a silly light show to accomplish that, but he seems to think it will.
It is just fun to watch the guy at work. Nothing seems to bother him as it would you or I; his getting caught in the act many times, using sock puppets, visits from radiation inspectors, contradicting himself over and over again, covering one lie with another...he just keeps on going without a care. Main thing, he keeps trying to fool customers in plain sight, and we have a front row seat.
Absolutely. My point is that Rossi keeping at it in no way implies that he actually has something of value.
-
"That is not saying he does not have something real this time, as Lewan's logic about "why he would bother with all this when..." makes a lot of sense to me."
It shouldn't. Being a con artist means you bother with all the flam-flam for your fraudulent activities. Why someone wants to be a scammer is a whole different discussion, but if that's what they want to be, then they are going to perform their act.

Thank you Jed. That is exactly the sort of answer I was seeking and it didn’t even require you to abandon your principles!
-
Thank you Mr. Webster. And pardon me for saying “same” rather than “consistent”. It was not intended as upping the ante.
I assume then when people here speak of repetitions, that is what they mean. Good to know.
-
noun
noun: replication- the repetition of a scientific experiment or trial to obtain a consistent result.
That sounds correct. Do the same experiment and get the same result.
So that is what Director means when he seeks a replication of the QX? Given that virtually nothing is known about details of the QX and really almost nothing about results obtained from it, I would contend that replicating it is impossible, except perhaps by unlikely accident.
-
Jed, I did not ask for any details of the replications of LENR nor a list of replications. I asked what is meant by “replication” in this context. That should not require reading any papers. i am just asking for a definition of the term. If defining your terms is considered “spoon feeding”, then the world needs more spoons.
-
Apparently asking such questions is incendiary around here but I would be very interested to know just what is meant by a replication of an LENR experiment. In my experience, replication has a pretty specific meaning and I am not at all convinced that the term is used in the same way with regard to LENR results. Perhaps someone knowledgeable might have an answer. I know that Jed will only have a hissy fit and not answer the question, so he should recuse himself from the discussion.
