The media is similar, although LENR is not a narrow band of optimal physical parameters. Iron carbon nickel silicon and many other nano particles will suffice. The excitation energy must be dialed in to the frequency of the atoms within the system. Harmonics cause waves, standing waves, and create, what is best thought of as, a molecular cyclotron. Atomic cyclotron resonance is required.

A cyclotron is a type of particle accelerator invented by Ernest O. Lawrence in 1932 in which charged particles accelerate outwards from the center along a spiral path. The particles are held to a spiral trajectory by a static magnetic field and accelerated by a rapidly varying (radio frequency) electric field.

Since that motion is always circular, the cyclotron frequency is given by equality of centripetal force and magnetic Lorentz force. with the particle mass m, its charge q, velocity v, and the circular path radius r, also called gyroradius.

I love your comment 'cause it hits the nail on the head.

Electromagnetic harmonics (bandwidths of radio frequencies) can create standing waves, waves intersecting creating peaks, and peaks that collide with each other with an even greater bringing together of combined energetics. Electrical current supplied for this is also needed to send frequencies that dampen these harmonics when a need to slow down the reactions arises. Simple no?

I have been pondering (harmonics), harmonic phenomenon like cavitation, as being the catalyst in the Rossi – E Cat reaction chamber. Knowing your interest I am sending you this. You will find enlightening leads in this piece I have been doing flash crowd education with.

A bit of research and I come across this item. Rossi is associated with these folks who are experts in the cavitation phenomenon.

    http://pesn.com/2011/11/05/950…s_a_Purification_Panacea/

Different frequencies (harmonics) may cause cavitation and focus heat within the nickel and hydrogen lattice, specific frequencies oscillating through a harmonic may create standing waves weakening the lines of resistance between subatomic particles. Is this the catalyst in the Rossi E Cat reaction chamber? Related information see Sonofusionhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonofusion

Are the radio frequencies creating a micro-cavitation within the nickel hydrogen lattice?

This is the first post I found where Rossi mentions frequency generation as part of the reaction process. “In the self sustained mode, a one megawatt plant can operate at full power, while consuming a miniscule amount of electricity to operate fans, pumps and radio frequency generators.” http://www.leonardo-ecat.com/f…ucts/1MW_Plant/index.html

    ABSTRACT

For a condensed matter system containing a guest interstitial species such as hydrogen or its isotopes dissolved in the condensed matter host lattice, the invention provides tuning of the molecular orbital degeneracy of the host lattice to enhance the anharmonicity of the dissolved guest sublattice to achieve a large anharmonic displacement amplitude and a correspondingly small distance of closest approach of the guest nuclei. The tuned electron molecular orbital topology of the host lattice creates an energy state giving rise to degenerate sublattice orbitals related to the second nearest neighbors of the guest bonding orbitals. Thus, it is the nuclei of the guest sublattice that are set in anharmonic motion as a result of the orbital topology. This promotion of second nearest neighbor bonding between sublattice nuclei leads to enhanced interaction between nuclei of the sublattice. In the invention, a method for producing dynamic anharmonic oscillations of a condensed matter guest species dissolved in a condensed matter host lattice is provided. Host lattice surfaces are treated to provide surface features on at least a portion of the host lattice surfaces; the features have a radius of curvature less than 0.5 microns. Upon dissolution of the guest species in the treated host lattice in a ratio of at least 0.5, the guest species undergoes the dynamic anharmonic oscillations.

    We claim:

    1. A method for producing dynamic anharmonic oscillations of a condensed matter guest species dissolved in a condensed matter host lattice, the method comprising treating host lattice surfaces to provide surface features on at least a portion of the host lattice surfaces, the surface features having a radius of curvature less than 0.5 microns, such that upon dissolution of said guest species in said host lattice in a ratio of at least 0.5, the guest species undergoes said dynamic anharmonic oscillations.

    2. A method for producing dynamic anharmonic oscillations of a condensed matter guest species, the method comprising the steps of:providing a condensed matter host lattice having surfaces treated to include surface features on at least a portion of the host lattice surfaces, the surface features having a radius of curvature less than 0.5 microns, and
dissolving said condensed matter guest species in said host lattice in a ratio of at least 0.5, whereby the dissolved guest species undergoes said dynamic anharmonic oscillations.

    3. The method of claim 2 wherein said dissolving step comprises providing an electric field greater than 106 volts/cm at the host lattice surface.

    4. The method of either of claims 1 or 2 wherein said dissolution of said guest species in said host lattice is in a ratio of at least 0.8.

    5. The method of claim 2 wherein said dissolving step comprises sustaining said oscillations over time such that interaction of guest species nuclei is initiated and maintained over time.

    6. The method of claim 2 wherein the step of providing a host lattice comprises providing a sheet of a palladium silver alloy.

    7. The method of claim 2 wherein the step of providing a host lattice comprises providing a continuous nickel wire.

    8. The method of either of claims 6 or 7 wherein said dissolving step comprises submerging said host lattice in an electrolytic solution of said guest species.

    9. The method of claim 8 wherein said dissolving step further comprises the steps of providing a platinum-coated anode submerged in said solution and applying a voltage between said host lattice and said anode.

    10. The method of claim 9 wherein said voltage comprises a square wave signal having a DC offset voltage.

    11. The method of claim 10 wherein said square wave signal is characterized by a time varying amplitude no less than 0.93 volts and a frequency between about 5 Hz and 2000 Hz.

The 2011 Green Flight Challenge sponsored by Google marks an historic achievement in aviation—the first demonstration of practical, cross-country emission-free flight. Team Pipistrel-USA.com’s winning 4 seat, electric-powered aircraft, the Taurus G4, flew nearly 200 miles non-stop while achieving 403.5 passenger MPG! Its astounding efficiency was more than twice that of the piston-powered aircraft in the competition. Equally promising: Team e-Genius won the Lindbergh Prize for Quietest Aircraft, with a peak take off noise of just 59.5 dBA at a 250 foot sideline. This achievement heralds the real transformative potential unique to electric powered aircraft—the capability to be quiet enough to land very near dwellings and businesses.

Years from now, these first Green Flight Challenge team members will be recognized as the pioneers of the Age of Electric Flight. CAFE is already discussing plans for GFC II and will publish more on that here soon.

The 2014 Personal Aircraft Design Academy (PADA) dinner and awards ceremony, the latter held in the Vette Theater at the Experimental Aircraft Association’s Museum, highlighted design innovation and the possible commercial exploitation of new technology.

Dr. Brien Seeley, Founder and President of the CAFE Foundation, hosted the evening and introduced your CAFE blog editor, who gave an overview of innovations in aircraft, avionics and powerplants he’d encountered on his daily hikes around Wittman Field.

Dr. Seeley had the honor of presenting this year’s PADA trophy to John O’Leary, Vice President and General Manager of Airbus Americas Engineering (AAE), for the parent company’s development of the E-Fan, a twin-motored personal airplane that has been a highlight of the Paris and Farnborough air shows. With the flying displays behind it, the proof-of-concept machine will be the basis for two-seat (E-Fan 2.0) and four-seat (4.0) production variants that will bring smooth electric power to private flight. The two-seater, which can double as a training vehicle, will be in production by the end of 2017. The larger 4.0 would be introduced two years later.

The NASA Phase Two SUGAR Report states LENR powered aircraft will be much cheaper to operate.

Airbus or Boeing? Whichever company offers an LENR powered aircraft first will capture the market.

A series of twenty snapshots of the lives of Blaze, Ember, and their families, Piers Anthony's 'Isle of Woman' interweaves fantastic fiction with exciting history. These identities of Blaze and Ember reappear at different times, in different places, from the beginning of human development to the immediate future.

Thus as the characters meet, separate, partner with others, raise their families, and eventually reunite septuagenarians, the reader progresses from mankind's earliest art and tools to the many guises of civilization.

A concept this grand in scope demands such an innovative device, and it is used effectively. In this way, with familiar protagonists, even the shortest of chapters becomes effective. The centerpiece, in which Blaze finds a wife for his son, is set around 6500 BC in Catal Huyuk, and other of Anthony's settings are still more unconventional.

Elaine Morgan's infamous "aquatic ape" hypothesis illustrates biological evolution, the Sahul Shelf the land bridges of old. Neandertal man, too often mercilessly mocked, is instead portrayed with sympathy; Malthus, not Marx, alerts us to future dangers. Indeed, the unfortunate path man seems to be treading is this novel's very message. The author sees catastrophe over the horizon, primarily ecological, and this warning recurs throughout both implicitly and explicitly.'Isle of Woman' is not history as we know it.

This is history as it might have been, replete with suppositions, scant evidence, and even suggestions. It is also history as it ought to be: it informs, it entertains, and we can learn from it.

    LENR Manhattan Project

U.S. LENR Manhattan Project and U.S. Advanced LENR Technology... In 1989, with the announcement of nuclear dense energy found in a jar, a U.S. nuclear 'LENR Manhattan Project' was initiated in the field of cold fusion/low energy nuclear reaction research and applied technology. Advanced LENR technology and engineering, now emerging from U.S. agencies, rivals all other energy sources.

In a large part, the mission of the DoE, DoD, and NASA is to ensure U.S. technological advantage. It is a matter of U.S. security, economy, health, and comfort. A small portion of this obligation resulted in the World War II U238 nuclear Manhattan Project, which led to a U.S. nuclear advantage.

Less than fifty years later, in 1989 the race to U.S. LENR energy began. The U.S. 'LENR Manhattan Project' will be of even greater interest to future historians. Recent evidence of both its' existence, importance, and success is presented here. The advantage of clean abundant nuclear power was not lost on the U.S. government, as can be seen by these works which were initiated long before 2007.

For years U.S. cold fusion LENR research has been discredited. From the beginning the DoE has been putting up smoke screens and roadblocks, while at the same time the DoD and NASA have been quietly implementing deep LENR/cold fusion research, advanced LENR technology license agreements, and LENR energy applied engineering contracts.

"New Solid Form of Hydrogen Discovered at Extreme Pressures"
By James A. Foley Jun 04, 2013 At: Nature World News http://www.natureworldnews.com…red-extreme-pressures.htm

At extreme pressures, hydrogen - a gas under normal conditions - takes on a new solid form that is remarkably different from other structures known to science while also disproving a long-held theory, according to the latest research from the Carnegie Institution for Science.

Hydrogen is the lightest and most abundant element on Earth. Up until now, only three solid states of hydrogen were known, though since the 1930s it has been theorized that the element would become a metal at extremely high pressures. Metallic hydrogen has been described as the "holy grail of high-pressure physics," often theorized about, but impossible to confirm because generating the center-of-the-Earth-like pressures necessary to get hydrogen into a metallic state were not technically feasible in laboratories.

Low Energy Nuclear Reaction Aircraft Investigator

Doug Wells, NASA Langley Research Center

    Purpose

The purpose of this research is to investigate the potential vehicle performance impact of applying the emergent Low Energy Nuclear Reaction (LENR) technology to aircraft propulsion systems.

LENR potentially has over 4,000 times the density of chemical energy with zero greenhouse gas or hydrocarbon emissions. This technology could enable the use of an abundance of inexpensive energy to remove active design constraints, leading to new aircraft designs with very low fuel consumption, low noise, and no emissions.

The objectives of this project are to gather as many perspectives as possible on how and where to use a very high density energy source for aircraft including the benefits arising from its application, explore the performance impacts to aircraft, and evaluate potential propulsion system concepts.

    Background

LENR is a type of nuclear energy and is expected to be clean, safe, portable, scalable, and abundant. The expected benefits make it an ideal energy solution. When it is applied to aircraft, LENR removes the environmental impacts of fuel burn and emission from combustion. Excess energy could be used to reduce noise so that all three of NASA’s technology goals for future subsonic vehicles are either eliminated or addressed.

Furthermore, aviation impacts almost every part of our daily lives, civilian and military.

A revolutionary technology like LENR has the potential to completely change how businesses, military, and the country operate as a whole, giving a tremendous financial, tactical, and resource advantage to anyone that utilizes it in the most effective way.

High density energy sources create some unique capabilities as well as challenges for integration into aircraft.

An LENR concept that has reported some success generates heat in a catalyst process that combines nickel metal (Ni) with hydrogen gas (H). The initial testing and theory show that radiation and radioisotopes are extremely short lived and can be easily shielded. Although nuclear fission has been looked at for use in aircraft, LENR is different. LENR has a higher energy density and no radioactive by products.

Success of this research will provide a firm foundation for future research and investment for high density energy source technology integration into aircraft.
