Believe it or not :
…
Yes, I can believe to this additional step of the magician’s scam.
After years from bombastic announce, the famous “one million pre-orders” is still “not reached” because his hoax technology simply implies that in real he has nothing to sell to anyone.
This farce survives just to satisfy his mental pathologies and his gullible supporters.

Our newly acquired skill to read in the source code of the page reveals interesting yet not surprising things.
Enlisted another puppet.

Doesn't equation 1 above imply electric field exists in nature? How else does it have a non-zero divergence?
So in nature also the lightning doesn't exist.
-
Next step the magician may blather that a new 10mW version will be on the market (named MicroSKLep) even if it requires more pre-orders than there are people living on Earth.

Dr Rossi
On ecat.com website it says “E-Cat products will be delivered only if Leonardo Corporation collects orders for at least 1,000,000 (one million) SKLep units (10 MiniSKLelps account for 1 SKLep unit)”
Does this mean if only (100W) SKLEPs are ordered, as example, then minimum target would be 1 million pre-orders?
And if only (10W) miniSKleps are ordered, as example, then minimum target would be 10 million pre-orders?
So actual minimum pre-order target will be somewhere between 1 million and 10 million, depending on the proportion between SKLEP orders and miniSKLep orders?
Have I calculated correct?
Warm regards and Happy New Year

The SKLep got a virtual visit. Who is holding the laptop and who is it on the screen?

When someone turns the light on for the room:
.
I think that's the "300 lux" (or better) condition for the room.
-
-
This is a classic magician's scam good for his dupes.
The illuminance (lux) is only the total luminous flux per unit area (perpendicular to it) independently by the distance from the source of light.
Illuminance (lux) says nothing about the luminous flux (lumen) of the source if you don't know the distance.
Luminous flux is that physical quantity related with the power.
-
[Late Edit]
The Lux rdg distance is approx 8 cms from the LED surface, tho', due to the (empty) lens/reflector assembly between LED and light meter
With this setup the rdg was 301 Lux at front of lens with 7.8V on PSU output direct to LED surface; current shown as 0.000A (Watts shown as 0.000W) but it's just below the first ADC threshold, so the actual rdgs are approx 12mA and 94mW
(click on thumbnail to view full photo)
Camera settings: ISO 800; f2.0; shutter 1/17
The camera-to-LED distance is approx 91cms (approx same as miniSKLep demo)
(The Lux rdg is on HOLD and meter moved to the side, to leave unobscured view of lamp for photo)
So - it's possible that AR is reading 300 Lux at the lens front, but if he is then the LED is likely to be operating closer to this test, around 100mW, and not even close to his 'conservative estimate' of 1W
301 Lux at distance of 8 cms.
Quite difficult to say, in this case the luminous flux could be in the range of 8-12 lumen.

Someone asked him this same question, back in early Nov i think, and the reply was approx 300 Lux at 50cm
This is how the lamp ought to look to achieve 300 Lux at 50 cms:
compared with how the demo lamp actually appears, in the dark.
This test was made in a darkened room which became somewhat lit by the LED under test
(v low-end) H4 LED matrix, driven at 4.4W [as shown on PSU];
produces approx 300 Lux at 50cms from LED;
ISO200, f2.0, shutter1/17;
with camera 91cms [3ft] from lamp = approx distance of camera-to-lamp in miniSKLep streaming demo
(NB. both this test and AR demo use a single surface of LED diodes in a matrix - the matrix in the miniSKLep demo is mounted outside the back of the reflector, pointing directly at the camera, through the lens, but not positioned at the designed focal point - replicated with similar arrangement in the test here)
A first glance rough calculation:
Reading 300 Lux (I am considering it as an average value)
with an overall light beam aperture of about 150 degrees
at distance of 0.5 meter
we gets 350 Lumens from LEDs.
Considering a LED efficiency in the range 90-100 Lumen/Watt, it means a power range from 4 to 3.5W.

But Rossi didn't make that choice. It was a supposed expert from UofB who brought the instrument.
Therefore this confirms that none of those present, academics. scientists, UofB presumed experts or technicians (Levi and Focardi included) had a suitable knowledge about how those measurements should be made.
-
You are re-writing history there. Rossi asked Levi to assemble a bunch of UofB experts to test the device. They were allowed to bring ANYTHING except a radiation spectrometer. One person snuck one in and recorded radiation bursts while Rossi was trying to start the eCat.
"snuck one"?
The magician was well aware on what Celani was doing, in fact he was keeping an eye on and when realized that Celani moved toward spectrum measurement the magician forced him to stop the measurements.

What interests me is 'What is AR's Exit Plan?'
Let's be generous and cover 3 scenarios:-
1) Well-intentioned, but badly-mistaken. A real product actually gets to market, it doesn't work anywhere near as hyped. Leonardo Corp goes down the tubes. Hopefully someone close to AR can redirect his focus on tennis, or flower-arranging;
2) New Science discovered. A real product actually gets to market and its performance meets (or even exceeds) the hype. Leonardo Corp makes a killing. Humble Pie becomes the staple food for scientists and EEs the world over. AR retires and redirects his focus on tennis and cracking the Theory of Everything;
3) Investment scam. There is no product. There was never any intention of making a product. Development of, and interaction with, a fanbase is entirely to provide evidence of interest and support which can be used as 'security' to investors. The fanbase is strung-along as being intimately involved in the whole process, when in fact they are just window-dressing to flesh-out the myth. No product will ever get to market because there is no New Science discovery. The only 'Invention' taking place is the creation (and re-cycling) of claims for a magical technology. After the 'herd' of investors is eventually milked dry, perhaps the Investors will be allowed to test some 'examples' of the 'new technology', when they will be able to discover the truth about the claims. The inventor can make one last claim: they 'honestly believed it worked'
So serious Investors are bilked out of their money - at their risk. Another day, another risk. But what to do about a lot of angry punters-to-be, who have invested over a decade of their lives in anticipation of a New Tomorrow. Is the world a big-enough place to hide from all these newly-gained enemies?
Andrea Skammer (the Magician)

nul-points:
1) No
2) No
3) We are working on this.
Warm Regards

The Rossi story is interesting know
matter how it goes.
Yes, in particular interesting from a psychiatrist point of view.

I think, he tried to get the amps down, they were at up to 0,003A. He turned the coarse knob way too low and then way too high.
Sure, as he gets older, the magician becomes less cunning and more clumsy.
-
If the current on the meter reads negative, and the red + meter lead is hooked to the PSU +, and the meter - black lead is hooked to the lamp/ecat assembly, in amps mode, then the PSU is not supplying the current displayed because the current is flowing backwards.
Right, but unfortunately (or slyly) the real position and polarity of leads (at DMM side) has not been clearly shown during the test by the video.
