At least in the music world everything is 'Hunky Dory' as David Bowie would have said. We have (at long last gotten rid of the repetitive beat ecstacy culture) and is now replaced with Britney Spears smoking marijuana instead now she has given her parents the BOOT!) Anyway we now have some evidence (I realise it is somewhat thin) that Gamma radiation was recently detected in our experiments at Ecalox. Real evidence that cold fusion, LENR, or CMNS or whatever label you want to give it, is occurring.

Surely negative temperature is purely a mathematical concept, like negative infinity and eternity in which space and time go backwards! We can only percieve positive numbers when we look at physics in the real rather than in the imaginary Universe - so we take it all in the present, second by second or year by year with no consistent plan for the future-because chaos (ie Mandelbrot Patterns) truly rules the Universe! It is just our own internal hubris which makes us physicists believe we are masters of the Universe (or Metaverse as facebook pundits are now suggesting). It only takes one itchy finger accidently or not to trigger all out thermo-nuclear war - sending the planet in one big bang back to the Stone-Age. This is Our Present Reality.

So we are all aware of the dangers of pursuing our interest in LENR. Personally being now retired and being an OAP (pensioner) I am totally transparent in my views, scientifically, musically and artistically. All the work in the World now I freely divulge to the ether, who wants to live forever anyway? So at least here on LENR forum we can all have free and open discussion. I just hope for the future this is TRUE.

So I think the way ahead is a bit like the dual fuel prius motor car to use a fission core made from pitch-blende (Natural Uranium) to fire up a nickel or Pd - hydrogen/deuterium cold-fusion core. It can easily be done in theory especially since smaller fission reactors for energy (ie electricity) production are being considered. If we can build sufficient submarine-style small fission reactors (the Russians are already producing mainland electricity using a submarine-fission reactor apparently) then the same principles could be applied to hybrid fission-fusion reactors. Whereas something like the size of ITER is highly likely to go out of control if the critical mass is ever achieved we will just, back to square one, have a massive nuclear H-bomb detonation. And to make matters worse ITER is sited in an earthquake region like those in the US. Remember Three-Mile Island and all the nuclear reactors sited on the San-Andreas Faultlines? Interesting to see what happens to LA when they all go into melt-down in the next major earthquake!

Aren't we allowed to make practical jokes regarding my Snicker's comment. I think Albert Einstein or Strernglass would have laughed at that one!! being practical jokers in writing the equation E = mc^2 when they really knew the real equation was E = mc^n where n could vary between + or - infinity. They could not prove or disprove the theory in any way so left it at an equal probability (ie 50 : 50) of being probabilistic correct ie 2. The same rational applies to space-time dilation ie from zero on planet Earth to eternity in outer space to the ends of the Universe. All we need for cold fusion to work is devise a slow release version of the hydrogen bomb.

A fourier analysis without any previous algorithmic filtering of the data would resolve this discrepancy. We have used FFT in biophysics to study single-channel voltage fluctuations in the past on an old state of the art (at that time (1980) PDP-11 computer system. The problem with modern computing is that the signal can become distorted by the algorithmic noise so leading to cherry picking and thus obtain spurious results. The answer I think is to compare FFT spectra on an active system in comparison to that of the control, which Wyttenbach has faithfully tried to transpose.

Caffeine is a phosphodiesterase inhibitor (just like Isobutyl methyl xanthine ie IBMX) and so, like sildenafyl (ie Viagra) could certainly have anti-COVID properties. I too am a coffee addict along with nicotine but both must not be taken to excess like alcohol too!!!! Everything in moderation, even too much sucrose (ie sugar from any source eg starch in potatoes) can cause type 2 diabetes for example. I am double vaxxed and am awaiting the booster dose, which, I should add, seems positively to keep COVID symptoms as in moderation keeps the virus at bay. Whether or not is not for us to decide as the virus mutates into a new form apparently every day. Eventually over a very long timescale we will all as survivors have endemic COVID with overall herd immunity.

I still agree with Sir David Attenborough that the main driver of Global Warming is Over-Population. We need to reduce the CO2 levels, sure, but what about the CH4 released by animals including humans??? Methane is some 30X more effective as a greenhouse gas. Create more volcanoes maybe or have a nuclear war?

As Greta Thunberg said until we have a working prototype tested under laboratory conditions cold fusion will remain more just Blah, Blah, and more Blah. But lets keep working on it, during the pandemic What Else Is There To Do???

It is not just big pharma making $$$ out of the pandemic - all medics and especially the legal professionals are creaming it in, like the Global Warming debate all professionals are being paid huge salaries for hot air more and more 'Blah, Blah, Blah at the tax-payer's (you and me) expense. Where will or when will it all end? In third world nuclear War?

Private medicine is on standby to help out the NHS if it becomes saturated by omicron cases. Well this is good news in the UK!! But in no way is the pandemic over.

Building Nuclear Fission Reactors, and ITER on earthquake zones in Fukushima or on the San Andreas Fault does not seem to be in any way a sensible option. Shoved up on Cheap Land, same problem with the new reactors at Sizewell in the East or the new one in Somerset being built on a well-known flood zone both from the sea and from the land! I have heard that the French Co EDF have taken over from the original Chinese Contract which began the project. Huawei must be pissed off.
