At LENR-Cities, the objective was to enable the development of a disruptive technology in the Energy sector by adressing this market issue. In practice, how to fund the development of this technology if there is no initial market?
As LENR-Cities was neither a large company owning a significant part of the existing market nor in a market position to promote an open technology, its plan was to design and implement an innovative market model (Open Business) and the corresponding business model to promote and make sustainable this market.
In concrete term, main objective was to implement a platform which is a way to make a market, a kind of "Market development platform'. I use the term 'market model' to denote the business model of a decentralized organization. if one develops technology to support such organization then this matters.
Consequently, LENR-Cities was a multi-facet business in itself including the development of a digital platform.
As regards the enabling technology of this platform, the focus was on Distributed Ledger and Blockchain... Note that, only a decentralized organization was in a position to design and implement a such project...
Most people will think that it is not required to understand the business model of a decentralized organization (a market model), that adressing Finance and supply chain in decentralized organization should be enough!
They are right but only until people will think about innovating in their own business model...
