This is something I've not seen mentioned on normal mainstream news channels. There has been a new natural gas (geomethane) field discovered in Austria. This isn't a fracking field, it appears to be a classic "gas pocket" type.
Pumping even more carbon into the atmosphere doesn't really sound good - although I could imagine some European governments might be quietly relieved to see a new source of gas within the EU.
