The light that is of the SKled is a special light. It is borrowed from the vacuum, not permanently incarnated into this universe from the neitherverse. That is to say, the light energy can only be reflected, making an area appear bright, but absorption by objects does not technically occur. Instead the light is returned to the void from whence it came, ceasing to exist in this universe once again, closing the circle of life.
The non-local termination of the photons causes solar cells, heaters, calorimeters, etc. to act like very little energy is being detected. A calibration beam is also emitted from the SKled in order to properly gauge the special brightness to a standard light scale used for normal photons.
This sounds complicated but it is the main advance of the Leonardo Team that they can borrow photons by the quadrillions from the neitherverse long enough to utilize them for lighting purposes, while leaving only 2 Wh/h of heat in our universe.
