2024 new US public domain releases

    Coming in January 2024: NEW Public Domain titles – HathiTrust Digital Library

    In January, HathiTrust will once again celebrate the return of Public Domain Day. This coming year, titles published in 1928 will enter the public domain in the United States, including more than 66,000 items in the HathiTrust collection. Some of these will also be viewable globally. Global readers will also gain public domain access to 46,829 titles.

    Here is a sneak peek of works that will be opening in January.

    Very few of these books will be of relevance to LENR (research or history) - but there are sure to be a few.


    Note that the rules for public domain release in the US differs from that in a lot of the world. However, the internet renders the difference moot.


    At least it means that there will be a few more books available that don't have to be hidden in the shadows...

    Saw the teaser about 1928. That reminded me of Fritz Paneth as in (Paneth and Peters), who originally reported the transformation of hydrogen into helium by nuclear catalysis when hydrogen was absorbed by finely divided palladium at room temperature. Checked and sure enough some Paneth papers are in there, but not LENR related. Like you said, there should be some nuggets to peruse when everything is available.
