A few years ago, discussing the temperature decline sometimes associated with EVO processes, I wrote "

"A quantum vortex is made of stabilized chrono-polaritons, created by an Axilon beam line."

This thought came from wondering how thermodynamics would be affected if the direction of time flow was locally reversed. In any event, I called them Axilons, not Axitons. Too much coffee and not enough sleep can lead to such musings.

The confusion above is amusing but not unexpected. There is a plasma etch process used to micro-machine TiN. That is Titanium Nitride not the element Tin (Sn).

In my early GS5 experiments in 2015 I added about 10% HTED4 catalyst to the Ni + LiAlH₄ fuel. Those runs did not yield any excess heat in tests up to 1100°C. and no radiation was detected. There were undoubtedly other limiting causes, so such catalysts are possibly helpful but not a key component. The later GS5.3 experiment yielded both radiation and excess heat and did not use any catalyst .

Here's the PIXE/RBS analysis of the catalyst I used:

I installed a 2.5 kw grid tied PV system in 2002. The inverter just failed, but in 22 years of service it yielded 69 MW-h, for an average of 8.6 kW-h per day. I'm happy with that result.

For around the same cost as my original system, I can replace it with new panels and inverter with nearly twice the capacity. That shows the amazing drop in PV cost since 2002.

I'm getting bids on a new system and will sell or donate the old panels which are still yielding about 75% (90 watts each).

This is only true for the Sequoia Gigantium, with limited range in the Sierra mountains. It "is listed as an endangered species by the IUCN with fewer than 80,000 trees remaining in its native California"

The coastal redwood Sequoia Sempervirens literally grows like a weed along the California coast where I live. I planted ten wild sprouts from the hills in my back yard about 35 years ago and some are now almost a meter diameter at the base. I cut about 2-3 meters off the tops (at 20 meter height) every year and sequester a ton or so of carbon at the land fill.

There's more to this story than you might think at first glance. It's apparently possible he accidentally created Schottky PV junctions in the Zinc-Antimony alloy he was using. It has some unusual crystal phases too:

Despite the BS storm, there may be useful information in the Baumgartner thesis document found by PFD. It describes how self-stable spherical structures of matter ("Yukawa balls") can form in dusty plasmas. Whether the structures thus formed eventually condense into the iron-rich spheres seen by me and others is a question worth further study.

Hmm, looking at the graph in the article, the device produces 300 watts of heat with 300 watts of electrical input. I have one of those already, a standard portable electric heater which is 100% efficient. The graph shows a "calibration" curve with 71 watts loss at 300 input, so the vertical scale values(output power) have been corrected for control system power or other losses. Devil's in the calorimetry details...

So what else might be happening in the Bendall device? I've been thinking about eletrostatic induction, as first demonstrated by Lord Kelvin's water dropper. There's a good description and demo by David Ricketts at 15:45 in:

According to the Wiki article, the apparatus is also known as Lord Kelvin's thunderstorm!

Could something similar be happening at the stone bubbler? Perhaps micro bubbles carrying charge away from the stone. What is it made of?

To be fair, he did say he was only commenting in response to requests from subscribers. Or to be totally cynical (which I'm not), you could say he made that up as well.

The points he made were well informed and stated, though with ample attitude. Can these specific points be refuted?

* The UV lamp frequency and power are not sufficient to ionize air.

* The engine intake vacuum is not sufficiently powerful to create plasmoids from bubble cavitation

* The concentric tube "thunderstorm" device will not generate vortex flows from the pressures available.
