Oh, so you develop a sense of humor after all these years. Still not sure what it means, but what Zeus says might fit.

I was wondering if R M might lend out a suncell when it is finished for independent verification/testing? Or maybe he has a heap of old bits and pieces we experimenters could use to cobble something together.
-
If you fancy it I know someone who could ask him. But don't hold your breath!
-
It would certainly be worth a try, Rossi refused to do this but maybe RM would be more open about it - we could play around with his design and if we came up with something better it would be to his advantage since he has all the patents on his devices = look at it as a collaboration? The rapid advance of global warming with all the recent freak weather conditions/loss of polar ice/forest fires in LA/etc may now make the search for alternative energy sources far more urgent and therefore the focus of increased investment.
-
Can you work on it yourself though? I'm afraid we have no time ourselves till early 2020. The pace is hotting up. Also worth pointing out that RM has been very very protective of his hardware stuff all along. so unlikely he would play ball offshore with people he can't control.
-
Yes, I could set up a system here - I live on a farm as well in Cornwall & there's enough space to do something constructive - a small electrolytic H2 generator to supply a larger plasma-based reactor would be interesting, just a matter of obtaining the right equipment. Chemicals and metallic powders etc can be cheaply sourced from ebay or other rarer items via the internet (some are available from Amazon).

Looks like BrLP has started to validate that they have a hi COP see Calormetry Update. This is some new milestone although not much for us to analyze. Interesting that they
claim long durations of the tests. I would love some data, but I guess we need to wait until they are ready. Looks like they are on track.

Since years they are...

Thx Stefan,
I see the January test was in a water bath. Should make SOT happy about them getting the power balance right. Video popped up, now gone.

Video of the immersed Suncell in a water bath is now available, see link above

Is that nylon rope wrapped around the reactor?
-
For hauling it out I guess.

They use rope and Rossi uses tape.

and Rossi uses tape
They use rope and tape...Rossi used ballet and tape

I think we're seeing a liquid metal plasma reactor in a water bath without much concern about heat. (opinion subject to change)

If it’s the nylon rope thing, it’s unlikely to tell you much: Due to its small size an old-fashioned, exposed kettle element has a pretty high power density, but it’s surface only ever heats up to ~20C above the current water temperature.
If it’s the lack of boiling bubbles, I agree.
