The patent thing? A poor joke.. I dislike the LENR patent conundrum/battle... oblique reference to it.

Did Russ get sued or get arrested for his earlier ocean action?

Forsley is big on ocean leadership too.

Iron ocean fertilization versus climate change was first mooted by Gribbin,1988..

Since then there have been 13 experiments... involving many countries/scientists.

As most of terraformation attempts the iron fertilization is just plain BS regarding to tackling climate change with carbon capture (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) - but it can undoubtedly have positive consequences for aquatic life. Providing that iron is applied in shallow coastal waters and in readily soluble form floating at surface - which "iron containing sand" apparently isn't. I guess some dirty industrial waste "management" is behind these plans instead.

You did read the wrong pages. What is distributed is the finest possible Iron dust in micro grams /m2. Sand is BS. May be your post too..

This is easy to say on anonymous forum - but my source claims the opposite. And they also note "We clarified the form of the iron involved", which means, they're pretty sure about it. Which is your source then...?

Actually David King says here: And it's all been tried out with iron sulfate. It works pretty well. Iron sulfate is common cheap industrial waste from iron pickle liquors - but OK...

But what they plan to do is to burn iron ferrocene into iron rich plumes. Why they do plan this, if cheap iron sulfate worked "pretty well" is going over my head. Burning iron ferrocene is not cheap, neither safe: many carcinogenic aromatic compound get released into air during this.

I had long discussions with the people involved in the project. You may be read to many comics.

The west coast iron dump test coincided with a massive shellfish die-off. Seems the oysters, scallops etc had trouble making shells for some reason.

Except the 80% losses of shellfish starts began immediately in 2013.
Blamed on water Ph dropping and plankton blooms out of sync with the usual feed period.

Coincidence? Maybe. The ocean is large, and starting cause and final effects difficult to prove.

Just to give you a hint for your fuss:: The iron dump happened some 1000km off shore. Takes quite a while for the shell fish to swim back to the shore...

More reasonable is the outbreak of an Alleutes volcano a year ago.
