Rossi-Blog Comment Discussion

  • Woodworker is a lawyer, and makes this accusation openly in the full knowledge of libel laws.

He knows how difficult it is to win libel cases in the US. Also that Rossi does not appear to be litigious in libel matters and he has had plenty of opportunities. Rossi says he doesn't read blogs like this so probably does not know (or care.) It would also be helpful if Woodworker gave his name at the top of his address.

OTOH no-one here could make such a direct accusation against Darden.

That is a bit of a stretch. Investment companies like his first priority is to make money. He is not quite as snow white as you make out. There are pages of court cases against Cherokee in Google. See below for examples. I didn't take the time to find the particular one I was looking for, where Cherokee was accused of taking money to clean up a site but failed to do so.

You cannot get much clearer evidence than that against Rossi in the IH Court case.

The court case didn't reach the jury, so there is no legal proof of what you claim.

Are you going to take the bet or did you refuse already? I don't remember.

  • The court case didn't reach the jury, so there is no legal proof of what you claim.

AA - you are sadly misinformed about the IH matter. There are mountains of depositions, taken under oath, from all the principals and many others. In addition there is an e-mail and paper notes trawl from discovery. Taken together, they make an unanswerable case for Rossi's deceit.

They were discussed here in very great detail at the time. Those in Rossiland don't like to go over past inconvenient facts, so will probably not have looked at the evidence in much detail (most of those who did, at the time, have melted away and are no longer here).

  • Dewey,

It is unacceptable to treat AS that way. No reason for it, as Alan has been more than a gentleman. Let this be a warning.

Your contribution here is valued, however you are expected to abide by the same standards as we hold others too.

  • Shane - Alan has been pro-Rossi and anti-IH since inception.

I disagreed with his rank speculation about TD and issued two statements of fact to help "educate" in return.
Surely he can handle some facts along the way.

    Dewey,

If you call this education: "Stay closer to what you know - we'll all be better served in the process." I do not ever want you as my teacher!

Being pro-Rossi/anti-IH is not a provocation in and of itself...it is an opinion. And in AS's case, an informed one. Reign it in Dewey.

  • The fact is there was no verdict. It didn't get that far. Of course both sides entered evidence.

If you will read that evidence, you might see that it overwhelmingly proved that Rossi was guilty of fraud. If you will read the Penon report -- and if you have a nanogram of engineering knowledge -- you might see that the test was a fraud.

Perhaps you would not see these things, because you are blinded by your bias in favor or Rossi.

In any case, you give no sign that you have read any of these things. You have never mentioned any particulars, or given any reason to doubt Murray's letter. If you have not read these things, you have no idea what you are talking about, and no business trying to judge this, or even discuss it.

CANCEL CANCEL CANCEL NEXT PARAGRAPH. WRONG PERSON!

And in AS's case, an informed one.

    CANCEL!

Yes. A bolt of lighting would cut the power to the building, and they would see that Rossi's body is radiating an eerie blue-green glow. The judge and jury would prostrate themselves before him.

Thank goodness Rossi took mercy on I.H., the judge, and jury and called it off at the last minute.

  • He is not informed. As I said, he has never addressed any technical issues or discussed the Penon report or Murray. As far as anyone can tell, he knows nothing. His only claim is that "we don't know yet" or "we don't know because it never came to trial." A cursory reading of the Penon report proves the issue beyond doubt. No trial was needed. The depositions were not needed, although they did provide a mountain or additional proof that Rossi is a fraud.

    Jed,

If he had said it like you just did, he would not be in hot water now. You are merely speaking passionately from the science angle of it (which I agree with), but our Dewey likes to serve his science with a side of personal insult.

And by "informed", what I mean't is that Alan is close to the action. He attended the Stockholm QX DPS. He is an insider doing his own LENR research, and runs LFH. That may not not justify his being a Rossi supporter to us, but it should buy him a pass from Dewey's, or anyone's insults.

That said...I can not understand for the life of me how anyone can stand by Rossi after those court documents came public.

  • To the WCS trolls and SPs - I realize that it is your job to continue your never ending circular arguments and trolling against those who are actually investing time, brains and resources into finding an energy source that will eliminate pollution. You support a wealthy career specialist who just wants to be famous while getting wealthy along the way. He figured out how to cut corners and get credit early on then turned that skill into a profession. The WCS took $$ and instead of using even 10% of that money to pursue CF, he went and purchased 2nd & 3rd rate rental properties in Miami FL. That is all anyone needs to know about his intentions into perpetuity. Not a single true CF researcher would have done that - most would have put all of that funding into furthering the research.

There is no comparison with our efforts to anything that either you or your fearless professional WCS leader are doing - it is all quite the opposite really. We own the truth and you will never be able to spin or counter or rewrite history as a result. Mats bet big on the wrong horse several times too many and has no credibility in this field as a result. I understand that he is a good guy and am sorry that he has to live with that. He'll find another way forward but it will not be on WCS success.

There is no mixed message here - you are teardown artist who just want to stain conversations and continue hating. None of you add any value anywhere. Your asymptote to nothing continues.

And I realize it is your job to continue trashing Rossi and everyone else, who even so slightly disagree with your preferred view of the world.

I'm merely making deductions from the stuff you write and the logical conclusions are not what you claim, an example being what happened at the settlement. And since you chose to throw random insults (and keep bragging about the brains and resources of IH) as a result of it, I believe I'm on the right track.

At least Rossi seems to be working on his research, (regardless of what kind of career you believe he is persuing). Stockholm demo being an example. At the same time, the only information we get from IH is your rants about their greatness and unknown world saving activities. Not much detail though, only that we will be the last to know... And I'm feel pretty confident that Mats has way better knowledge than you about the horses in this race, not least due to his superior hands on experience in the field.

    Max,

Do not forget the wig, and spittoon! :) Anybody remember why he asked the court if it was OK for him to bring a spittoon to the trial?

Funny too on the wig thing. For some reason, at one of the pre-trial court hearings, Rossi had his lawyer mention to the judge that he was wearing a wig. Guess he thought it would get him some sympathy...who knows.

  • Max,

    Do not forget the wig,

i am slightly over the hill and almost bald. Never had problems with that.

Maybe I am wrong but my observations say that if somebody is way over the hill is trying to hide physical imperfections ie. baldness, small height etc. that should at least rise suspicion.
