The D2 artifact issue is not addressed. it is stated as fact that this is not a problem without evidence or rationale. For example, evidence would be a spectrum with two distinct peaks for D2 and 4He. Or an analysis of the expected difference, and… -

I'm not sure how old he was, in his late 80's I think. I know he retired almost 20 years ago. As for the tube, not sure about that either, but he was very interested in low-pressure glow discharge work I believe. -
